AIDS message not getting through to young gay men

Information alone is failing to prevent the AIDS epidemic among young gay men in Amsterdam, according to research showing that 6% of those who have regular contact with the Dutch capital's active gay scene are HIV positive.

Although 12 years of clear and explicit public health information has produced a new generation informed about the risks of HIV transmission,it has not been translated into changes in behaviour.
