Who needs another book about pituitary adenomas? Medical students as well as trainees in internal medicine, endocrinology, neurosurgery, radiology, radiation oncology, and anaesthesia would welcome a succinct, informative, logical, clinically oriented overview. The many specialist authors of The Management of Pituitary Tumours attempt to provide “a ‘user friendly’ and not too complex” handbook for trainees in these multiple specialties. The goal is laudable, but the book is uneven.
There are numerous strong points. The text is shorter than the pituitary section in many standard textbooks …
