    EDITOR,—The deficiencies of the approach taken by Evidence-Based Medicine in reviewing research papers, pointed out by NJ Pearson and colleagues,1 are highlighted by the almost diametrically opposite conclusions reached in its review of a recent trial of interferon beta-1b2 and in a more thorough review of the same evidence in the Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin.3
