Different diseases indicate different risks of transmission of HIV

    EDITOR,—M A Catchpole and colleagues conclude that “substantial numbers of homosexual or bisexual men continue to practise unsafe sex despite being aware of their infection with HIV-1” and suggest that this may result in an increased spread of HIV.1 We do not believe that they have given sufficient data to support this claim.
