NHS trusts criticised for staff strategies

A new report by the Audit Commission has highlighted the wide national variation in junior doctors' supervision and training and in consultants' operating and outpatient workload. NHS trusts are criticised for failing to take a sufficiently strategic approach to their investment in medical staff.
