Let's have Jenner's Column instead of Nelson's Column

Perhaps the BMJ should begin a campaign for Nelson's Column to become Jenner's Column and Trafalgar Square Vaccination Square. Horatio Nelson is known by all British schoolchildren to have saved us from the French. But what for?
