A 3 month old baby girl severely brain damaged by meningitis may be released from her “living death” and allowed to die in peace, England's senior family judge ruled last week.
But the BMA was disappointed that Sir Stephen Brown, president of the High Court's family division, refused to lay down guidelines for doctors taking such decisions in future.
