Doctors in the Netherlands fear that proposals to write an acceptance of euthanasia into Dutch law and to relax the current strict criteria that doctors must follow could lead to increased opportunities for euthanasia.
The proposals come from the influential Dutch Association for Voluntary Euthanasia, which has 82000 members. It hopes to stimulate public debate before government research on current euthanasia policy is published …
