Here in Auchendreich we take change in our stride. Over the past few years we have embraced progress in all its forms: the consolidation of our acute services, the rationalisation of the accident and emergency units, the downsizing of long term care provision, and even the controversial distillery sponsorship of the Greater Auchendreich Health Board's health education programme. The profession locally has accepted all this as a necessary and courageous reshaping of our health care industry to meet its challenging new environment.
