Long term care pushed on to NHS

Pressure for more long term care to be moved to the NHS came last week in a report by the all party House of Commons health committee. While welcoming government plans to reinstate long term care where it has been withdrawn (BMJ, 4 March, p 550), the committee found that gaps remain.
