Prevalence of alcohol histories in medical and nursing notes of patients admitted with self poisoning

Two editorial errors occurred in this short report by Robin M Shepherd and colleagues (30 September, p 847). In both footnotes to the table the χ2 and P values refer to the proportion of doctors' or nurses' notes with a quantitative (not a qualitative) alcohol history.

Incidence of transfusion associated B and non-A, non-B hepatitis in Italy

An editorial error occurred in this short report by Alfonso Mele and colleagues (30 September, pp 846-7). The second IgM was omitted in the first sentence of the second paragraph of the methodsand results. The sentence should have read: “Patients with acute hepatitis with hepatitis B surface antigen and IgM antibodies to hepatitis B core antigen, without IgM antibodies to hepatitis A, are classified as having hepatitis B.”
