Increase in tuberculosis causes concern to Dutch

    Dutch doctors are concerned that the latest tuberculosis figures suggest that the disease is spreading faster than expected from high risk groups to the general population. Last year cases of tuberculosis in Amsterdam increased by 37%, reaching the highest figure since 1966, according to the tuberculosis prevention department of the city's public health service.
