Special hospital funding changes announced

Changes in the way that special hospitals and high security psychiatric services in England are organised and funded were announced last week by junior health minister Mr John Bowis. The changes will entail local management for the three special hospitals--Ashworth, Broadmoor, and Rampton--and separation of the commissioning and provision of high security services.
