EDITOR,—On 30 May the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust withdrew its charges against Dr Helena Daly. A settlement was reached whereby the trust agreed that its case against her was unfair and her dismissal wrong; her credibility as a doctor was restored, but she was not reinstated.1 This was a hollow victory as far as her patients were concerned.
