Thousands of French patients with AIDS are treated by unauthorised and probably worthless drugs promoted by self styled researchers, says a new report commissioned by the French government. The report claims that there is a “proliferation of parallel therapeutic practices” sometimes carried out under commercial and moral pressure and often tantamount to “pure charlatanism.”
The report was commissioned by Dr Philippe Douste-Blazy, the outgoing minister delegate for health, and produced jointly by the French inspectorates …
