At long last the Greater Auchendreich Health Board has been given the go ahead for a project that will put us at the very forefront of health care on the east coast if not in the whole of Scotland. Of course there are cynics in our midst who say the timing of the Scottish Office announcement had something to do with the recent local election results and even more to do with the impending Dreich and Auchendreich parliamentary byelection, but nothing could be further from the truth.
