A medical disciplinary board in Amsterdam has reprimanded psychiatrist Dr Boudewijn Chabot for helping a depressed, but physically healthy, 50 year old woman to commit suicide. The board argued that Dr Chabot was wrong to decide that his patient could not be treated and concluded that his actions undermined trust in the medical profession.
