    EDITOR,—Brian Martindale presents selective evidence to suggest that the environmental contribution to schizophrenia is considerable,1 neglecting to mention recent strong evidence supporting genetic transmission of schizophrenia based on the biological relatives of schizophrenic adoptees.2 The diagnoses and analysis of this supportive study have, furthermore, been independently replicated.3
