An attempt to break the deadlock on out of hours arrangements for British general practitioners was made last week in an approach from the health minister, Gerald Malone, to Dr Ian Bogle, chairman of the General Medical Services Committee (GMSC). Mr Malone invited Dr Bogle to resume talks.
