New test for invalidity is accused of unfairness

Under a new scheme announced by the British government, general practitioners will no longer have to decide whether their patients should be given invalidity benefit. In future, claimants will complete a self assessment questionnaire and it will be up to doctors working for the Benefits Agency Medical Service to perform a full evaluation.
