The vast amount of comment on recent sex scandals in the government has thrown up one idea that might be worth pursuing: do high achievers have a high sex drive? Should we expect politicians to have deviant sex lives as part of the personality mix that goes with ambition? For ambition rather than intelligence seems to be the most obvious characteristic that distinguishes politicians from the rest of us.
