I must admit to some shame as I look down at my drug company-sponsored (and excellent quality) mousepad.. However, are we over-thinking things somewhat? The simple fact is that the function of any company is to sell the product, no more, no less. This does not make pharmaceutical companies Satan's own representative on this earth. By all means, let us establish a firm code of conduct, but I would like to think that our profession has the collective wit not to allow our decision-making ability to float down the Styx on the aforementioned branded mousepad... Competing interests: Have had far too many free lunches...
