Dear Editor, The meta-analysis by Durrane et al (1) on the use of fluoroquinolone antibiotics vs other antibiotics has included many trials though there are trials with lack of rigorous methodological criteria. Despite that, neither the analysis nor the editorial on the enteric fever treatment (2)have highlighted the adverse outcome of fluoroquinolones. The musculoskeletal injury especially tendinopathy (Achilles tendon and others) (3) has to be considered and adequately highlighted in such meta- analyses. Thank you!
