Re: Correction

The way the first sentence of the letter was modified fails to convey the complete message of our rapid response which was that anal tone, perianal and perineal sensation should always be examined when cauda equina compression is suspected. We believe that the first sentence should read: "As well as neurological examination of the legs, anal tone, perianal and perineal sensation should be assessed in cases of suspected cauda equina syndrome".
