This is not intended as a formal response for publication, but I wanted to know why this editorial was published in hard copy under the title of 'Continuous glucose monitoring in gestational diabetes'? The study that prompted the editorial only included women with pre-existing diabetes during pregnancy; not gestational diabetes. Having now come to your website to feedback my concerns about the accuracy of the title of the editorial, I can see that it was changed between e-publication and the paper copy of the journal. Although some women diagnosed as having gestational diabetes will have unrecognised pre-existing diabetes, they are a very different population to that studied. 'Gestational diabetes' is not a blanket term for all women with diabetes in pregnancy, but specifically refers to women who develop diabetes during their pregnancy. I think that the title you chose to go to publication with was misleading and the runner implied that women with gestational diabetes benefit from more intensive monitoring than is currently practiced, though neither the editorial or the original article offer any evidence for this.
