We are grateful that you published our letter in this week’s BMJ (2nd February 2008), drawing attention to the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Pneumococcal Disease Prevention in the Developing World in tackling the impact of pneumonia on child survival.

However, we would like to draw your attention to a factual error in the edited version of the letter that was published in the print issue: the Group was formed on 23rd January 2007, not “last month” as stated in the edited letter. The original submission read: “..the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Pneumococcal Disease Prevention in the developing world was formed on 23rd January 2007…” We would be grateful if you could inform your readers of the correction.
