We are grateful that you published our letter in this week’s BMJ (2nd
February 2008), drawing attention to the work of the All Party
Parliamentary Group on Pneumococcal Disease Prevention in the Developing
World in tackling the impact of pneumonia on child survival.
However, we would like to draw your attention to a factual error in
the edited version of the letter that was published in the print issue:
the Group was formed on 23rd January 2007, not “last month” as stated in
the edited letter. The original submission read: “..the All Party
Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Pneumococcal Disease Prevention in the
developing world was formed on 23rd January 2007…” We would be grateful if
you could inform your readers of the correction.
