In my previuos work within Child and Youth Mental Health, I saw many children that seemed to be hyperflexible and seemed to have issues related to inattention and distractibility. Has any one noted similar issues? Competing interests: None declared |

It is time to join our efforts to have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome clarified. I am a sufferer but still undiagnosed. I teach Genetics at an University but, as I am a biologist, many doctors don't take my complains seriously, although it seems I know the subject better than themselves.
I also consider myself a scientist because I like to investigate things deeply, no matter the time or money spent. But among scientists, I found people with no time at all to listen to my arguments and who were really interested in making money in their well known 'scientific' way, by publishing their articles and improving their curricula.
Among patients, the most of them feeling completely lost, I found a huge universe of symptoms, complains, life dramas, strenght, interest and compassion, not to mention some answers for my questions.
It is time to join our efforts. This is the information era. Let's talk to each other and listen to each other, for the benefit of the next generations to come.
