I hope my comment would not appear as gratuitously rude, but I feel that there are many more issues that could make healthcare safer. More continuity of care, more staff, report of errors under a "not blame/open" system, more stringent clinical trials before marketing of products, but facilitating patients' recruitment, avoidance of delays and easier access to technologies already available.
