Re: Infant mortality should be with its "unit" of per 1000 live births

In this article authored by Singh, there was a mistake in expressing the infant mortality in China, which could be traced back to its reference "China human development report 2005". Infant mortality should be with its "unit" of per 1000 live births rather than percent (%).

This correction could be confirmed by the data of "Mortality Rate of Children Under 5-year in Surveillance Region" issued by China Ministry of Health (http://www.moh.gov.cn/open/statistics/digest06/y39.htm). The infant mortality in rural areas was range from 58.0 per 1,000 live births in 1991 to 24.5 per 1,000 live births in 2004, which were higher than that in urban area (17.3 per 1,000 live births and 10.1 per 1,000 live births, perspectively).
