Re: The "Ferrari" behaviour

Sir, is it surprising that someone interested and willing to try one drug may also show interest in taking other drugs? This behaviour can be seen in many forms amongst us, eg sports cars. We start with the cheaper and more available ones (nicotine, alcohol) and work our way up to the more "exotic". Interesting to see that of dutch adults less have tried canabis than in the US or Australia. Is that because in the netherlands canabis has not the label of something forbidden? (and many teens would feel inclined to try therefore) or is it geographical? I wish that we wouldn't push drug (ab)users to the fringes of our society, it makes it so much more difficult to help the ones that need it. Ever tried to get the 35 year old with cardiac chest pain in A&E to admit to cocaine use? sincerely K Stille
