Re: Overburdened practitioner in developing world

With limitations in health resources and limited availability of current ultramodern investigations and effective drugs, practitioners in developing world must be pleased with the service they do. Due to these issues they are forced to be less responsible for solving health behavior problems they encounter everyday. They have less time to listen to patients. Sometimes the time spent for an average out patient may be as less as 2-3 minutes in some countries like Sri Lanka and India. They are more interested in clearing the crowds in clinics and in out patient departments.

But a behavioral change in consultations in developing countries is a must with some rapid recruitment of health resources and manpower.
