Re: Fate of Senior SHO's under MMC

Dear Sir/Madam,

I agree to many of the points raised by Dr Shrilay Sinha in this article.Further i say that the foundation programme and modernising medical carriers was started to help the 'Lost Tribe' of senior SHO's who run the present NHS through their sweat. Is any body bothered about them? What will be their fate after 2007 when the new foundations students start competing for the 'run through' grades. The MMC claiming that it is supposed to help these 'Working horses of NHS' has paradoxically made their life even more uncertain and miserable. They wait to see if they would be forced to take staff doctor jobs, leave the country or leave the profession altogether which they adored and sweated for all these years.Has MMC done justice to them?I leave you with the quote 'from to much zeal for the new and contempt for the old........good Lord deliver us!'
