Re: Medical graduate should be trained according to the primary care need of the country

Sir

I principally agree with the issue raised by Rahul Velineni and his concern regarding the training of newly qualified doctors. Sir now days interests of medical students becoming more academic oriented and at the same time, emphasiss on learning clinical skill is reduced, which will have great impact on the quality of health care delivery and this may be the one of reason of failure of primary health care system especially in developing world. Because any country cannot afford the high technology instrument in primary care setting, and most of the students are trained in big instititions, they are not accustomed to treating patients in primary care settings. Sir what I feel is that every student should be trained according to primary care setting, which will improve the clinical skill of students as well as the health care delivery system of any country, especially it will be very helpful for the developing world.
