Re: Evidence-based surgery
|
The general belief is that applying evidence-based medicine in
surgery is more difficult than in general medicine. One of the obstacles
to get evidence into surgical practice is the learning process of the new
surgical techniques. Every surgeon has a different learning curve and
sometimes it's hard to master a new surgical procedure. It's the reason
why some surgeons would rather choose traditional ways. Better
training for new surgical techniques is necessary to reduce
variation in surgical care.
