Re: The fallibility of the Yte chromosome

I presume that Kamran Abbasi meant to entitle his ‘editor’s choice’ ‘Stupid White Men – and other pathetic excuses for the State of the Nation’ after the British election. A triumph of the white male? Dude – where’s my country now?

Re: Medical Media's role; BMJ leadership

If the statistics quoted by Kamran Abbasi are true, then it must be true that there is a consorted attempt by politico-media barons and other stake holders interested in glossing the real life issues and projecting non-issues. Such attempts have been in use over a long time and a well-meaning general public have proved a poor match before the power of the mighty vested interests and their voices are in the way of muted letters to editors of the same media-politico controlled media. As a responsible member of the medical fraternity it is the bounden duty of the medical media bosses like Kamran Abbasi to highlight such attempts related to undermining of the real health issues and do more than a passing remark in an editorial. I am sure BMJ is more autonomous and independent to take the lead in projecting the real health care issues in a more objective way.
