The response re warfarin self monitoring for a World cruise does not discuss who should pay for the strips. Most of the conflicting advcie for UK travellers is that the NHS will pay for the first month of treatment whilst away but after that the traveller should pay privatly. This often difficult discussion will need to take place before buying the meter! Competing interests: None declared |
