The response re warfarin self monitoring for a World cruise does not discuss who should pay for the strips. Most of the conflicting advcie for UK travellers is that the NHS will pay for the first month of treatment whilst away but after that the traveller should pay privatly. This often difficult discussion will need to take place before buying the meter!

Andrew Duncan Muir asserts that strips testing INR have been shown to be at least as good as standard methods. What are the prime references for relevant papers, please.
