Re: US readers share disappointment and outrage

I would like to assure Dr. Fallowfield and others that at least one US reader's response to the conclusions drawn by Wright and colleagues was similarly indignant. The editorial I prepared for BMJ USA on this paper "Patient-centered communication: more than a string of words" concluded that it was conceputal weaknesses and leaps in logic that led to the unsubstantiated conclusions of the authors rather than any evidence that communcation skills are not valued by patients.
