Re: Whistleblowing

Peter Wilmshurst is without doubt an admirable person - no matter how many charters are introduced, it is still an horrendous experience to 'blow the whistle' - but an 'unusually honest' doctor?

Re: Re: Whistleblowing

Does Susanne McCabe mean that it is not Dr Wilmhurst who is "too" honest, but the average doctor who lacks honesty?

Competing interests: I blew the whistle once; not sure I would do it again

Re: Congratulations Peter

I admire Peter Wilmshurst and he deserves the award he was given.

Peter is not only an all round "nice guy" but he has a sense of responsibility to his work and others.

Peter is refreshingly honest about everything.

By the way, we do not need whistleblowers - I do not believe doctors should be subjected to witch hunts and be sacrificed simply to raise standards. A quality of a doctor's life is important and I would dissuade anyone from going down the route of whistleblowing.
