Is there a role for clopidogrel rather than aspirin in Kawasaki's
disease? Presumably this would avoid the risks of Reye's syndrome and have
the required anti-platelet effect. Since Kawasaki's is relatively rare,
the annual cost would be low, albeit significantly higher in percentage
terms than using aspirin. Is there any experience with such an approach
(i.e. using clopidogrel in children), or evidence of its effectiveness
compared to aspirin?
