Re: We already have smoking rooms in most NHS hospitals

Dear Sir,

Ofcourse the debate continues whether to provide a smoking room for the in-patients in the hsopital. We are all turning a blind eye on the rooms that are already in existence for smoking. In many of the NHS hospitals, it is common to find one room in the theatre with the theatre staff or the doctors smoking! This continues inspite of the strict warning which was put up during the fireman strike.

I think a policy should be drawn on the ban of smoking by the hospital staff alike before introducing it to the patients. As the old syaing says "practice before you preach"
