Ironic isn't it? A whole chapter in this issue on becoming more responsive to patients' needs whilst the profession is being put under ever-increasing pressure to stick to evidence-based protocols.

Evidence-based protocols demand (to an extent) "passive compliance" by patients. And this is just one thing the Bristol Enquiry report truly frowns upon!
