Regina Stroebele, physician own practice Send response to journal: Re: Genotype 1 may require a different treatment	If I understood it right, the main therapeutic problem are patients with Hep C virus of genotype 1 infection. In case these are the reason for that unfortunately "statistically not significant trend towards improvement of morbidity and mortality", to me, starting a new prospective study excluding patients with genotype 1 seems both scientifically correct and urgently needed, with regard to the large part of genotype 1 infections.
