To all medicine professionals who read this interesting article, Drs. Krige & Beckingham, give us important quick tips for ascites, encephalopathy, hepatorenal syndrome and spontaneous bacterial peritonitis.

I would like to make some comments about encephalopathy. From my experience, the most useful method we have used to treat it are enemas, Lactulose, antibiotics, gum pocion, plus saline, rectally 3 to 4 times daily; this will improve patients' condition in no time. Sometimes we use lanexat and if the preponderant mechanism are the increase of the benzodiazepines like, the patient will wake up, in few minutes.
