The Independent's 'Pandora' is offering a prize for the person most deserving a human-scaled saucer of milk. I suggest it should be divided between Philip and Richard.

You may think that 'Hospital Doctor' is a 'throwaway newspaper', (you are quoted as saying such in their letter page of the 12th August), but at least it provides a very valuable outlet for the feelings and concerns of ordinary doctors like myself. This is much more than can be said of the British Medical Association, its multiple committees, its Journal and its Editor.
