This article mentions the locations of two prior chemical disasters: Bhopal and Seveso. I believe Seveso, a town where in July 1976 a runaway chemical reaction caused the discharge of large amounts of 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodioxin, is located in the Lombardy region of Italy, not Brazil as indicated.
