Re: Lead is still a problem

Recent research in Australia has shown that lead is mobilised from the skeleton during pregnancy and lactation and that mothers transmit this to their offspring. Research published in the June 23-30 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association links blood lead to tooth decay. There have been suggestions since the 1970s that lead is linked to tooth decay. References availbale by e-mailing wendy@mclean1953.freeserve.co.uk. Lead is a greater problem than is acknowledged in Britain.
