Re: I am not surprised

After reading your article I shook my head with utter amazement. I unfortunately went through a rather tough time suffering from PTSD and depression requiring hospitalisation and the treatment that I received was so below par that it was terrifying that the lack of compassion and understanding that not only but other patients received whilst under the care. Once I was even told during an acute anxiety attack to CHILL OUT. When I was discharged no discussion was made with me on my feeling of being out of the hospital and if I had any support when I was discharged I was basically told to pack my bags and go home leading to me feeling so useless that I attempted suicide. Again I phoned the NHS and all I was told was to try and phone some councillors and speak to someone when clearly speaking was not the problem. Other patients were ignored until the patient acted out and even then there was a collective roll of the eyes. I really feel that the mental health should be truely investigated in smaller districts. Since this country is so PC about what is right and wrong and the best for their citizens I for one feel really let down by my own country.

Thank you
