18 months after a breast screening with no result I was operated for a tumor. 2 years after that (and having received no other treatment) the cancer had spread to the spine and brain. So - my answer to the main question of the article is that 3 years is a too long period. I know that the use of screenings is discussed - and maybe my answer should be: Stop the screening, it worries the women for no use!
