Re: Ethics of do not attempt resuscitation

I have found this a very interesting review of the events of cardio pulmonary resuscitation. I am currently doing a project on the ethics of do not resuscitate and would like very much to receive input on the views of consultants and how they reach the decision to not resuscitate patients.

furthermore the type of training undertaken by doctors related to this issue

I also feel that nurses are very disempowered as advocates when it comes to policies such as this please could you tell me what doctors feel in the event of a nurse opposing their views.
