Multimorbidity and inverse care
We need a system that accounts for multimorbidity at practice level

As a GP who for 20 years has served a population that is within the 5% most deprived in the country, Mercer and colleagues’ analysis of multimorbidity and the inverse care law matches my experience exactly.1 I systematically ration my time and persistently feel that I am (out of necessity) short changing my patients of professional input.
